Jelly Girl

Another quilt I love - "Jelly Girl" designed by Joanna Figueroa and made using fabrics designed by her (Figtree & Co).  This quilt is made with a jelly roll plus some background fabric and goes together brilliantly.

I added two rows to the length so that the quilt would sit better on a bed.

Once again I asked Karen to use "Orange Peel" quilting - it's such a great design.

I love the backing too - it's such a pretty print.

Cutting Out

I've been procrastinating lately and that has meant lots of cutting out 1-1/2" strips for some quilts"to be made in the future.

"Sweet Escape", a Thimble Blossoms design in Bonnie and Camille "One Fine Day" and "Sunday Stroll".

"Rainbow Connection", another Thimble Blossoms design, in the same fabrics and loads of Bonnie and Camille scraps.  I'm hoping there will be enough to start a Tiny Nine Patch quilt.

Lots of Bonnie and Camille and Thimble Blossoms fabrics have been used to cut out "Hello Sunshine".  I've been wanting to make this quilt for ages.

Last quilt cut out is "Flower Girl 2", another Thimble Blossoms design and I've used Tasha Noel's "Quilt Fair"for this quilt with Sherri and Chelsi's "Simply Delightful" fabric for the background.

I'm making myself finish the two quilt tops underway now before I start one of these new quilts.

Hannah's Garden

This is the second time I've made "Hannah's Garden" designed by Treehouse Textiles - this time I added and extra row of large blocks so the quilts sits well on a queen-sized bed.

This was a good stash-buster.  I did add a border to the quilt top but made an error and the border didn't sit well so I cut it off before binding the quilt.

"Clamshells" is another favourite quilting design and it looks lovely on this quilt.

I love the border of smaller square-in-square blocks.

Hometown

Latest quilt finished is "Hometown" - another quilt made in Camille's "Lighthearted" fabric and designed by Camille (Thimble Blossoms).

Once again I asked Karen to use Orange Peel and I love how it looks.

I'd love to live in this house.

I have a dear friend in America and she sent a gorgeous parcel for Daisy - this sweet outfit for spring (it's so hard to resist clothing featuring daisies)

and the most wonderful vintage feedsack quilt top with loads of daisy fabrics.

She also included a little present for Vinnie - great timing because I could take it to his party.  When I find a suitable backing, I'll send the quilt to Karen for quilting.

Flower Girl

A couple of years ago a friend sent me a huge parcel of fabric and in the parcel was an original kit for "Flower Girl"in Bonnie and Camille's "Marmalade" fabric - this is fabric range was so popular when it first came out and has become much sought after.

I always love Orange Peel quilting and it looks so good on this quilt - Karen quilted this quilt.

The quilt is now with my friend who sent the fabric and I have a loads of leftovers of the fabric to add to my stash.

Sugar Dish

I've wanted to make this quilt for ages and have no idea why I hadn't made it before.  I love Dresden Plates and these are so cute.

The quilt is designed by Allison Harris of Cluck Cluck Sew and the fabric is Figtree and Company's "Stitched".  I added a border from another Figtree pattern, "Kiss Me" to make the quilt a bit larger.

The Baptist Fan quilting by Quilting on the Coast (Karen), looks wonderful.

The backing is a Figtree and Company wideback.

Edelweiss

The first of my "Lighthearted" fabric quilts - "Edelweiss" designed by Camille Roskelley, Thimble Blossoms, who also designed the pretty fabric.  The background is Moda Bella Solid Ruby Ice.

Karen used "Modern Loops" for the quilting.

Chandelier

I'm way behind uploading photos, so the posts of quilt finishes will be out of order.  Most of the next bunch of quilts were made last year but not quilted till earlier this year, then they sat on the spare bed for ages before I got around to binding them.

"Chandelier" is a Lella Boutique design and is made with 2 charm packs plus background fabric.  I added a border so needed to purchase another charm pack.  This fabric range is called "Cosy Up" by Coriander Quilts.

The backing and binding at from Jen Kingwell's "Gardenvale" range.  Jen is a terrific Australian designer and, one day, I'll visit her shop in Torquay.  Visited her original shop in Gardenvale - it was lovely.

Sewing for the Family

I've been procrastinating for months - not sewing for the family but finally got around to starting in January.

"Blaire" blouse designed by Style Arc for Elizabeth is a lovely linen.

Finally sewed up the baby clothes I had cut out for Daisy - some of the patterns were purchased when Elizabeth was a baby.

Jenni brought this fabric to me and asked me to make a romper for her baby.

Last year when Hugo chose Halloween fabric for his pants, he also chose fabrics for his sister and cousins.  Jelly beans for Thea

60's swirls for Gulli

and Paw Patrol for Vinnie

When Gulli was little I cut out a pair of pyjamas for him but never got around to sewing them up and didn't sew them up for Hugo.  Finally sewed them up for Vinnie during this batch of sewing.

Vinnie's third birthday was earlier this month and we spent the day at Sydney Zoo - a lovely zoo and very easy to navigate with children.  His party was last weekend and I made him "Giddy Up", a Melly & Me design.  I've previously made a few of these and this may be the last.  I added little wheels because I think it's a bit heavy for a little one to hold up.
