Rainbow Connection

I feel that the first half of 2024 was spent making Nine Patch blocks and the second half has been spent making Sawtooth Star blocks.

"Rainbow Connection" is another Thimble Blossoms design.  I had plenty of the aqua/white check left over from "Sweet Escape", so I used his for the connecting blocks instead of plain white.

Karen used Baptist Fan for the quilting.  The backing is a pretty from from Bonnie and Camille's "Shine On" range.

I've been keeping up with the "Piece and Quilt" schedule - not getting ahead.

Sewing Catch Up

 "Sweet Escape" is almost finished.

The backing is a lovely, bright "One Fine Day" fabric and I've used the off-cuts for the binding.

I asked Karen to use "Modern Loops".

Last year I bought a fq bundle of Tasha Noel's "Simply Country" fabric - such a beautiful collections of blues and white.  I also bought a bolt of the wideback fabric.

Wasn't sure what to make then decided on Thimble Blossoms' "Summerville" and so happy with how it's turned out.

"Modern Loops" for this quilt as well.

"Summerville" and "Sweet Escape" are both ready for the binding to be stitched down but I'm not doing this until I have finished embroidering some blocks for Daisy's quilt - I am the Queen of Procrastination.

I have a stack of quilts ready to send to Karen (after I stitch down the binding on the previous two quilts).

Rosemary:

I seemed to have a lot of aqua Thimble Blossoms and Bonnie & Camille fabrics in my stash and thought Thimble Blossoms' "Rosemary" would work well with these fabrics.

I have always loved the bow fabric from "Vintage Christmas", and bought lots of it when it was available, so am happy to use most of what I had left for the border.

Springville:

I had a few larger pieces of Thimble Blossoms' "Lighthearted" left over and wanted to use them to make "Springville".  Love making a quilt completely from my stash - I had to add quite a few pieces to finish off the quilt top.

The border fabric is from Bonnie and Camille's "Smitten" range - so pretty.

I have enough of the lovely "Lighthearted" backing fabric left to make a dress for Daisy in a year or two.

Rainbow Connection:

This year has been the year of making nine patch blocks.  "Rainbow Connection" is a Thimble Blossoms design made of nine patches.  I had enough of the aqua plaid fabric left over from "Sweet Escape" to make this quilt and the "Moda Love" cot quilt.

The quilt is made with mostly "Sunday Stroll" and "One Fine Day" fabrics with lots of other Bonnie & Camille and Thimble Blossoms fabrics from my scrap stash.

The backing is a lovely "Shine On" fabric.

Moda Love:

I had some aqua "Sweet Escape" blocks left after the quilt was together, so sewed up a few more and made a cot quilt top.

Our littlest sweetheart is growing up way too quickly.  She is such a delightful, happy little soul.

Recent Sewing

"Hello Sunshine" was cut out a few months ago and the top is mostly together.  I've been making one block per day and now need to add the borders (plain white).

All the blocks have been sewn for "Rainbow Connection"

and "Sweet Escape".

I cut out another "Jelly Girl" quilt - this one is scrappy in Figtree and Co fabrics

This quilt will be a birthday present for a dear friend later in the year.

"Jelly Girl" is on the way back from Karen

along with "Starlight".

I'm still sewing nine patches for the Tiny Nine Patch quilt and should start sewing some of those finished blocks in to quilt tops but I feel like starting something new.

Cutting Out

I've been procrastinating lately and that has meant lots of cutting out 1-1/2" strips for some quilts"to be made in the future.

"Sweet Escape", a Thimble Blossoms design in Bonnie and Camille "One Fine Day" and "Sunday Stroll".

"Rainbow Connection", another Thimble Blossoms design, in the same fabrics and loads of Bonnie and Camille scraps.  I'm hoping there will be enough to start a Tiny Nine Patch quilt.

Lots of Bonnie and Camille and Thimble Blossoms fabrics have been used to cut out "Hello Sunshine".  I've been wanting to make this quilt for ages.

Last quilt cut out is "Flower Girl 2", another Thimble Blossoms design and I've used Tasha Noel's "Quilt Fair"for this quilt with Sherri and Chelsi's "Simply Delightful" fabric for the background.

I'm making myself finish the two quilt tops underway now before I start one of these new quilts.
