Another Bradley Street

One of my son's closest friends recently welcomes a longed-for baby to his family and I wanted to make a quilt for her.  Baby Goldie's big brother has a Bradley Street quilt and I had loads of Jocelyn Proust fabrics in my stash to make a similar one for her but with more pink and gold for the flying geese.

I went to Spotlight to find some backing fabric but there was nothing suitable - the range of Jocelyn Proust quilting fabrics is severely reduced BUT the sweet Snugglepot and CuddlePie fabrics were on super special so I bought pretty much all of it in pale pink and pale blue.  I used the pink to back this quilt.

Karen used eucalyptus leaves and wattle for the quilting.  The quilt has a lovely texture.

While I was cutting out this quilt, I kept cutting and also have a full-size "Bradley Street" to make one day.  I hope the Kona "Regal Purple" looks ok when the quilt top is together.

Edelweiss

This is a great quilt to make.  "Edelweiss" is designed by Camille Roskelley (Thimble Blossoms) and is made using her "Nantucket Summer" and "Shoreline" ranges with Moda Bella Solid Navy for the background.

Qulting on the Coast used "Modern Loops" this time - always loos wonderful.

The backing is from Thimble Blossoms' "Summertime" range.

Cakewalk

"Cakewalk" is a great design made with easy nine patch blocks and some background rectangles.  I love it in these mid-blue Thimble Blossoms and Tasha Noel fabrics.

The quilting design is "Rodeo"and the curves looks lovely against the sharp edges of the squares.

The backing is from Thimble Blossoms' "Shoreline" range and the binding is from her "Nantucket Summer" range.

Happy Scrappy Baskets

Another quilt started in June last year and finished in January this year.  "Happy Scrappy Baskets" is made from my Figtree & Co stash and is a great quilt to make from your scrap baskets.

Karen quilted this one with "Featheration" - I love this design with Figtree fabrics.

I love this deep coral/red for the backing - goes so well with so many fabrics.

Broken Dishes

"Broken Dishes" was started in June last year when I came across some half-square triangle blocks in my Bonnie and Camille fabric box.

I made more blocks from loads of different Bonnie and Camille and Thimble Blossoms ranges - some needed sashing to even up the block size.  I'm so happy with how this turned out.

Quilting design is "Whitney's Pearls" and was quilted by Quilting on the Coast.

The scrappy backing is made of backing off-cuts in various Bonnie and Camille and Thimble Blossoms fabrics with three Broken Dishes blocks added in.

Also used a scrappy binding.
