We had lots of huge storms in March - so much thunder and lightning. One Saturday afternoon we lost power for a few hours so I lit some candles and cut out Thimble Blossoms' new "Picnic" quilt, mostly from my Thimble Blossoms scrap bags.

Bonnie and Camille Sampler 3
I love making these scrappy sampler quilts and working out the jigsaw so that all the blocks can fit together without too many filler strips.
Jenny at AngelCake Quilting used a new-to-me design, "Chantilly", and I'm sure I'll request this again.
Had a lovely long weekend down the Far South Coast with Lynell, Robyn and Wendy. Took one photo all weekend - Tathra Wharf. We stayed nearby. Lots of local seafood to eat, lots of shopping in the nearby towns, plenty of laughing and talking.

Catch Up
Last Friday night I wasn't sure what I felt like sewing and then I noticed the stack of Gypsy Wife blocks - hadn't made the blocks for last month or this month.

I really like house blocks and made this house from Thimble Blossoms' "Autumnville" pattern to go into my sampler.
Had a fun weekend catching up with The Schoolgirls for brunch on Saturday, then T & G came over on Sunday - they don't keep still and make me laugh.
Last night I started cutting out "Stroll", a new Thimble Blossoms pattern using mostly scraps (lots of cutting) and I also want to cut out Cotton Way's "Summer Days" from the B&C scrap bin.

Santa in the Trees
"Santa in the Trees" was a fun quilt to make for a family in Victoria.
Strawberry from Thimble Blossoms' "Stroll"
Splendid Speck's "Bradley Street"
FigTree's "Checkerboards and Stars"
Michelle McKillop's "Stripe Me Lucky"
Rainbow from Bonnie and Camille's "Quilting Bee"
Lighthearted from Bonnie and Camille's "Quilting Bee"
Brunch with the Schoolgirls this weekend and maybe Mum and I will go to the pictures - there are a couple of Australian films I'd like to see.

Patchwork Sky
This is the second "Patchwork Sky" quilt I've made - this one being a special request from a customer in USA. It was finished and posted away a week or so ago.
The "Hourglass a Day" blocks are growing in number and many, many more to make.
I'm ready to start another "Chinoiserie" - the first quilt has gone to Peta and Michael's home and have been working on putting together a Bonnie and Camille Sampler this week.
Had a fun weekend even with the weather turning very yukky - T&H came for the day on Saturday then I had dinner with friends - home-made wood-fired pizzas. Sunday was a pj day - spent most of the afternoon in The Pink Room.
