Darling Little Dickens

That has to be one of the cutest fabric names ever.  There have been a few baby boys born in the last couple of weeks, the last one being born 11 days ago. Karen picked up the top and backing to quilt on Monday last week.

I collected it from her last Thursday and sewed the binding over the weekend.

I had a fair bit of unplanned time at home last week and used it to trim the rest of the Snippets hourglass blocks.

Had to make one block:

The half square triangles and hourglass blocks are now sorted into the larger Snippets blocks and packed away for another day.

Another "Cakewalk" quilt top is also underway.  It will be single bed sized and have a border - this is a customer quilt.

Last October I put a bundle of fabrics together to make "Line Dried" designed by Coriander Quilts.  I really like her patterns - they are well-written and easy to follow.

I cut into the fabrics on Sunday night.  There are 4 different sized blocks and two versions of three of these blocks.

Block 1A
Block 1B
I'm using fabrics left over from my "Swoon" quilt and also the recently finished "Medley" quilt.  Lots more cutting to be done for this quilt top.

Last night Mum, Lynell, Mum's friend, Nora, and I went to see "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society" - such a wonderful movie.  I know I read the book about 10 years ago but had forgotten much of the story.  Marina - go to see this movie :)

You've been busy! I do love that first baby quilt. My SIL had a baby last week, so when I get back home, I have to make one to send to my new nephew. Love this pattern.

PS: I cannot wait to see that film too.

I agree with Anorina- you are so busy! I love the colour palette of that first baby quilt! I loved the Guernsey Literary Society.... film too! Such a good story. And any film with knitwear and patchwork quilts has to be good!
