You Have My Heart

I loved this quilt as soon as I saw it in the Bonnie and Camille "Quilt Bee" book and earlier this year a sew-along was held on Instagram - great opportunity to make the quilt and use up some of Camille's "Dwell" fabric.

I asked Karen (Quilting on the Coast) to use "Clouds of Hearts", I think that's the name.  I love the look of this pantograph.

For the backing I used a "Dwell" wideback of the lovely big floral.

Plain and Fancy

Another quilt made from Figtree's "Strawberries and Rhubarb" is Coriander Quilts' "Plain and Fancy".  I love the Dresden Plates in this quilt.

I asked Karen to use "Featheration" on this quilt.

I added this border instead of a plain border to the design.

Mum has spent a lot of time in hospital lately and one day we spent some time stitching down the binding for this quilt.  I'll write a blog post about what's going on with Mum another time.

Friendly Blooms

Still way behind on posting quilts.

One of the quilts I cut out last October was "Friendly Blooms" designed by Chelsi Stratton.  I used Figtree's "Strawberries and Rhubarb" for this quilt.  Some of the fabrics designs are so sweet.

I asked Karen to use an old favourite "Baptist Fans" to quilt this.

The backing and binding are the pretty green large floral from the same range.

Summer Days

Another quilt finished in April - "Summer Days" designed by Bonnie Olaveson (Cotton Way) and made using loads of Bonnie and Camille fabrics.  I added Sawtooth Star blocks and wider sashing to make the quilt bigger.

I love the Baptist Fan quilting Karen added to this quilt.

For my birthday this year I bought myself a stack of Tula Pink's "Everglow" fabrics.  This is the first Tula Pink fabric I've used and the colours are fantastic.

I immediately knew which quilt I would make - "All Stacked Up" designed by Kaffe Fasset.  I've made this quilt before and thought it would work really well with all the stripes and spots.  The larger prints are beautiful.

Pretty trimmings.

This quilt needs to laid out as you go when putting it together.

I added an extra row to the width and two rows to the length.

The binding has been attached and will be stitched down soon.

Moda Love Quilt

This quilt was finished in April.  "Moda Love" is a free block design from Moda Fabrics - it's basically the traditional Carpenter's Wheel block.  Instructions are given for various sized fabrics from 2-1/2" squares to 10" (layer cake) squares.

Didn't have quite enough of the white-on-white background fabric so used some Moda Bella Solid Ruby Ice to add contrast.  The rest of the quilt is made with Thimble Blossoms' second range "Dwell" - I like the pretty pinks.

Karen used "Hearts and Stars" for the quilting - it gives a lovely texture.

The backing is from Bonnie and Camille's "Shine On" range - so many lovely fabrics in this range.

I noticed that Then Came June posted a free pattern and decided to make the quilt from my stash of low volumes with pink, orange, coral, yellow and green fabrics for the sashings and blue, turquoise and teal fabrics for the posts (as per one of the suggestions in the fabric).

So pleased with how this has turned out - so fresh and pretty and, as a friend said, a great pattern to use up busier low volume fabrics.

Waiting for backing fabric to arrive then it can be sent off for quilting.
