First job Friday evening was to make the binding and sew it on before sitting down to watch some tv and start stitching it down.
Finished it off on Sunday night and took some photos. Waiting for a nice day to take some photos outside to show the true colours.
Visited my second-favourite shop on Sunday (Bunnings) to buy a lemon tree, lime tree and crimson pom pom (love the name).
The other 3 borders are ready to sew on later this week.
Swap parcel was posted on Monday and arrived on Tuesday - amazing.
Had a bit of an excess water problem on Monday - so much rain fell in the Illawarra.
All's well - furniture has been moved out, the insurance carpet person is coming this afternoon and new sewing area is set up at the other end of the house.
Good thing I have plenty of space in the house.

Hello Lynda,
What a great post. All that rain, lucky you though the flooding wasn't nice. Hope you get the insurance done quickly and you get to choose some lovely new floor covering.
Happy days.
Bev.
Love the Tone it Down finish....gotta love putting the final stitches in a binding! Goodnight Irene is coming along nicely as well.....shame about having to move your sewing room - at least you had room elsewhere! and the upside is new floor covering for the sewing room!
Sarah's quilting is perfect, love that design. Good choice of binding too, frames it nicely. You must have had a lot of rain, hope there isn't too much damage (especially in the sewing room!).
love both of these quilts, they are gorgeous and your tone it down looks perfect on the bed.
bummer about the flooding!
hope it's put right asap.
Your quilt looks fantastic Lynda and the other is looking good too. Good luck with your trees......glad all your sewing was safe.
Helen
your quilt looks fantastic, well done Sarah :)
so glad you had minimal damage to your sewing room and no fabric was sacrificed LOL and doesn't that purple parcel look interesting ;)
happy planting as the rain has been perfect for that
oh those quilts are gorgeus Lynda you clever chicky and damn what a shame with the water damaged, hope it is all fixed for you soon and your home is back in order Lynda.xx
What gorgeous quilts, Lynda. It's always a pleasure to see your work; your pattern and fabric choices are lovely. What a shame about your sewing room and how lucky not to have lost precious fabrics, projects and patterns - obviously you are tidier than I am and don't use the floor as a storage area!
Your Tone it Down looks wonderful! And your Irene top is looking good too! :0)
Tone it Down does look great... Sarah did beautiful quilting.
Irene is growing nicely too.
Lovely rain but the flood is not good..
Great you can move to another room to sew.
Love your quilt Lynda, good to hear your sewing space was not interrupted too much...
bugger about the flooding..........nice quilt.....
The tone it down quilt is beautiful! I bet you quickly got the binding done on that beauty. I would have rushed it too. Sorry to hear about your storm damage. So glad none of your quilts, fabric or machines were damaged. Have the repairs and replacements been done yet?
